Equality and Diversity

Equality - Is treating people fairly. It means that everyone should be treated fairly regardless of visible and invisible factors such as a person’s sex, age, race, disability, gender reassignment, ethnic origin, social status, sexual orientation, faith or religious beliefs, pregnanacy or maternity, marriage or civil partnership.

Diversity - Is about recognising and valuing differences. It is not a repalcement for equal opportunities, nor is it about language or political correctness; rather it is about respect for all individuals and groups.
