The team provide intensive assessment and support, treatment, advice and consultation for children and young people.
Children and young people aged 0-18 years with a learning disability and mental health problem causing them to display challenging behaviours in more than one setting, for example at home and at school.
You will see a range of experienced and qualified professionals, for example, a Consultant Child Psychiatrist, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, a Clinical Psychologist and/or a Family Therapist.
A referral has to be made from your GP, Paediatrician, Social Worker, the Child's School or other Professional.
We run several groups regularly throughout the year;
- SIBS - a group for the brothers and sisters of the disabled child in the family. We are always looking for volunteers to help "Friends of SIBS" in fundraising.
- ASCEND - a parent training group in understanding the Autistic Condition.
- Parenting Through the Senses - helping parents understand their child's sensory processing difficulties.
Please ask a member of staff for any information that you require.
