Supports people who are on anticoagulation therapy by regularly checking blood using a simple finger prick test and amending dosing of Warfarin
Clinics are held in a variety of settings inWeymouth, Dorchester, Bridport andWareham.

Patients can only be referred by a clinician once they have x2 INRs in therapeutic range.
The only direct referrals received by the Oral Anticoagulation Service by a clinician is for patient’s with Atrial Fibrillation who do not require clexane and have not yet commenced warfarin.
A “one-stop shop” to determine patient’s INR, warfarin dose and next appointment.
A variety of medical conditions including thrombosis, mechanical heart valves, clotting disorders and heart problems.
