How can I refer?

GPs, Consultants and Healthcare Professionals can refer to the most appropriate department using the following referral form.

What functions/treatment and therapies are offered?

Treatment may involve manual therapy (hands on treatment such as mobilisation/manipulation), electrotherapy (such as ultrasound), therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation advice and education. We are committed to using scientific evidence to support our treatments.

Which types of illness/medical condition does the service treat?

We treat a range of injuries and conditions that affect muscles, joints and soft tissues. This may include back pain, whiplash/neck pain, ankle sprain, bone fracture, neck pain, tendon problems, joint replacements and shoulder problems. We also have a specialist physiotherapists that can assess and treat some gynaecological conditions.

If you are unable to safely attend the department you may be referred to our colleagues in your local Community Rehabiliation Team who may assess you in your own environment.

If you require physiotherapy for a chest or neurological condition you may be referred to our specialist colleagues in your local Community Rehabiliation Team.

Who will I see?

We are all Chartered Physiotherapists registered with the Health Professions Council. Our experienced therapists all have specialist skills in the assessment and treatment of injuries and conditions that affect muscles, joints and soft tissues. 

As a patient, how do I access services?

Your GP, Consultant or Healthcare professional can refer you to the department that is most accessible to you.
