What does it do?

The service offers assessment and diagnosis of a wide range of orthopaedic conditions and will treat them in a non-surgical way.

What functions/treatment and therapies are offered?

Assessment includes taking a history, examination and investigations.

Treatment may include injections, advice or referral on to another specialist if needed.

Which types of illness/medical condition does the service treat?

General musculo-skeletal problems, both spinal and peripheral.

It does not treat trauma likely to involve a fracture or rheumatology problems.

Swanage Community Hospital Out Patient Department

Dr Knott - three Wednesday mornings and one Friday afternoon per month.

Ms Atwell - one Wednesday afternoon per week.
