All aboard as Morebus join Dorset HealthCare’s breastfeeding campaign

Poole-based firm Morebus has joined the growing number of local businesses signing up to support the Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme run by Dorset HealthCare. The initiative aims to get more women breastfeeding in public and encourage cafes, restaurants, leisure centre and other public venues to sign a certificate of good practice and display a sticker welcoming mums through their doors.​

Dorset nurses take centre stage in London recruitment drive

Dorset HealthCare staff have made their debut as models starring in adverts on the London underground and bus network in a bid to attract qualified staff to the Trust. Members of the community and mental health trust’s staff are part of an exciting recruitment campaign, running over the next three months, which aims to attract people to a range of vacancies with the Trust. Dorset HealthCare is widening the net and targeting a bigger pool of people as it spreads the word about why it’s a great place to work. With adverts in tube cars and on buses, as well as outdoor advertising, the Trust is aiming to fill vacancies in nursing and other key roles.

Youngsters learn that hospital visits can be fun

A group of schoolchildren enjoyed X-ray vision during a visit to Wimborne’s Victoria Hospital. Year One pupils from Wimborne First School were invited to the community hospital, run by Dorset HealthCare, to help inform their learning about the body and the importance of exercise, hygiene and general good health.
