Public Health England has regularly updated information about the virus, and what to do if you think you have it. The key points to note are:
- if you have concerns that you may have been exposed to or become infected with the coronavirus, call NHS 111 – do not visit a hospital Emergency Department or Minor Injuries Unit
- if you develop relevant symptoms, however mild, within 14 days of returning from the following countries – China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand – you should self-isolate at home immediately and call NHS 111
- all travellers from Wuhan and Hubei Province of China should self-isolate for 14 days, even if they do not have symptoms, due to the increased risk from that area.
