60-second interview videos offer help this World Mental Health Day
This World Mental Health Day (10 October), local NHS mental wellbeing service Steps2Wellbeing is reminding people across Dorset and Southampton City that help and support is available.
Steps2Wellbeing, run by Dorset Healthcare is a free service offering talking therapies, counselling, online courses and guided self-help for common mental health difficulties like depression and anxiety.
The service has produced a series of ’60 second interviews’ with therapists and peer support practitioners to let residents know how Steps2Wellbeing can help if they are experiencing low mood, stress or worry. These videos, along with more information on what Steps2Wellbeing can offer, are available on Facebook and YouTube.
Lauren Scott, Steps2Wellbeing therapist, said:
“If you’ve noticed recently that you’re struggling with your mental health or wellbeing, we would really encourage you to get in touch so that we can discuss how you are feeling and how we can help.
“You don’t have to be referred by your GP or a health professional to see us, you can make that referral yourself either by going to our website or giving a call.”
