It’s important to recognise and reward the fantastic work that Dorset HealthCare staff do so that
everyone feels valued for the part they play in providing the best possible services for local people.
We do this in a range of ways at the moment including the Dorset HealthCare Heroes staff awards scheme, national awards and marking long service. We also highlight good work through the local media and on social media channels. And there are many more informal ways to recognise good work – a simple thank you can go a long way.
The NHS Staff Survey has shown that DHC staff are increasingly satisfied with the recognition they get for good work (from 51% saying they were satisfied or very satisfied in 2014 to 62% in 2017). We’d like to find ways to continue improving.
We need your input on how and when you’d like the work of staff to be recognised and celebrated. Do you think the way we’re doing things now is fine? Have you seen it done better elsewhere? Or do you have additional ideas of your own?
We’re looking to refresh the way we recognise staff and we’d like to hear your views. Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/XBDCTR7 by 21st December.
