Crisis - Mental Health Support

The Crisis Home Treatment Team is a secondary mental health service that offers assessment for short term intensive treatment to service users open to Dorset Healthcare Mental Health Services. The team work with service users suffering from acute mental illness or disorder who require intensive home treatment as an alternative to hospital admission.

Access to this service is through your Community Mental Health Team or in an emergency out of hours via the Out of Hours GP.

The service enables people to either avoid hospital admission or allow them early discharge from hospital. . Home Treatment helps people to remain at home whilst they recover.
