If you have an ailment or injury which requires urgent care, call NHS 111 and you will be given advice or – if necessary – booked in for a face-to-face appointment at the appropriate site.

Please do not just turn up to one of our minor injuries units – you cannot be seen without an appointment.

Only go to an A&E if it is an emergency and always call 999 for anything life threatening.

If your injury is not life threatening or serious, minor injuries units and urgent care centres can treat:

  • sprains and strains
  • broken bones
  • wound infections
  • minor burns and scalds
  • minor head injuries
  • insect and animal bites
  • minor eye injuries
  • injuries to the back, shoulder and chest.

Visit our MIU page for opening times.
