Your hospital stay
Ill health often makes people reflect on what is important to them, and chaplaincy services are available to all patients, visitors and staff across our sites and services.
Chaplaincy is here to meet your pastoral, spiritual and religious needs – whatever your beliefs. You may wish to speak with someone who understands the language of faith, or talk to a sympathetic listener about things that are important to you. We can make contact with faith communities and leaders on your behalf, we can pray with you, and provide other resources that will help you while in our care.
We hold Christian services of worship at several sites and have good links with all other local faith communities. In several locations there are multi-faith quiet rooms, and we also have spiritualty leads available at a number of sites. There are chaplains based at Forston Clinic, near Dorchester, and Bridport Hospital, and the service is supported by chaplaincy volunteers across the county.
If you would like to access pastoral, spiritual or religious support, speak to a member of staff at any site or contact our chaplaincy service direct via 01202 492072 or dhc.
