Dorset Carers Service - Help & Care
An independent service, funded by Dorset Council and delivered by Help & Care in association with MYTIME Young Carers, supporting people who care for others across the Dorset Council area*.
Our Carer Link Workers offer a listening ear, clear guidance, and help you access the right support.
Whatever your age or circumstances, we’re here to ensure you feel heard, supported, and valued in your caring role.
Bridgit - is an online platform you can access 24/7. It is an interactive tool that provides advice, guidance, and information to help you in your caring role. It can also connect you to key services to support and inform you about local events taking place in your community.
Leonardo Carer Support (previously The Leonardo Trust) was originally created by our founder, who herself was a full-time voluntary carer, and has experienced the challenges and issues so really appreciates that having help with certain aspects of life can really make a difference.

A young carer is someone under 18 and a young adult carer is aged 16 to 25. As a young carer, you may miss out on opportunities to play and spend time with your friends and classmates. You may feel isolated or find that you don't get included in certain activities.
You might feel as if you’re the only young person that this happens to, you are not. There are lots of other young carers in the UK, and there are groups that can help you.
