Local support and resources
If you are pregnant, need support or information about breastfeeding your baby, and would like to meet other breastfeeding mums, please visit your local support groups.
The Breastfeeding Network has been commissioned to support families in Dorset with their breastfeeding journey. It runs various peer support groups across the county in Poole Old town, and Kinson and West Howe, Boscombe Sherborne, Swanage and Somerford (coming soon). They can offer free unbiased support and information for all infant feeding choices. Groups are run by accredited breastfeeding peer supporters who have completed the training needed to be able to support mums through breastfeeding.
Families and babies are a charity run organisation that can also offer breastfeeding support via peer support groups in Southbourne, Queens Park, Branksome, Wimborne, Verwood, Wareham, Dorchester, Ringwood, Blandford, Weymouth, Bridport.
