For further information on what is available to support a child or young person, please visit The Balanced System® website. The Balanced System® framework is a way of making sure that in a setting, school or local area, the right provisions are available for parents, carers and professionals to help children and young people develop their speech, language and communication.

There is also a free national enquiry service run by the charity organisation Speech and Language UK, where you can book a confidential phone call with an experienced speech and language therapist. It also provides a free child's progress checker, which should give you an idea of how your baby or child is developing and whether you need some support or advice to help you.
