The Risk Of Serious Harm Forum

The The Risk Of Serious Harm (ROSH) Forum is a platform for professionals to discuss young people (under 18 years old) who exhibit high, unusual/concerning levels of violence or present with high risk of harm to others such as fire-setting, stalking, internet offending, animal cruelty, damage to property or terrorism/concerns about radicalisation. These forums are facilitated by FCAMHS and will take place virtually every eight weeks.

Booking onto a forum

To book a case discussion/consultation email dhc.dorsetrosh@nhs.net with the young person’s name, date of birth and your concerns in terms of harm to others. We will email you an information guide to assist with the discussion and send you an invite to the Teams link.

There are two consultation slots at each forum (9.30–10.30am and 11am-12pm). You are welcome to attend for the entire meeting, as you may find the other case discussions helpful. However, you can attend for just your consultation slot.  You are encouraged to invite other professionals involved with the case and if you are working with a child in foster care please also invite the social worker.

What do I need to bring?

If you are presenting a case you will be asked what support/advice you would like from the group. It is helpful to come with background information on the child and their family, peers, school and behaviours, etc.

If you do not have a case to discuss you are very welcome to join a meeting to either contribute or to ask questions. If you wish to attend without presenting a case you do not need to confirm ahead of time as this is an open forum to professionals. However, please email if you would like the calendar invite sent directly to you.
