Accreditation training is a half day intensive learning to induct external healthcare professionals about the referral process, eligibility criteria, Personal Wheelchair Budget (PWB), trouble shooting existing wheelchairs, MHRA requirements for a wheelchair as a medical device and a brief introduction to the basic range of wheelchairs and accessories provided by Dorset Wheelchair Service. 

Accreditation will also enable you to handover wheelchairs appropriately, ie. demonstrating the features of the equipment being issued, providing advice and guidance on use, setting up the wheelchair for the individual such as footplate height, as well as completing, issuing and returning paperwork as required by the MHRA.
