Arrangements for the Bank Holiday on 19 September

Following the announcement that Monday 19 September will be a Bank Holiday to coincide with Her Majesty the Queen’s state funeral, we are working on the arrangements for our services and staff.

If you have an appointment with us for Monday 19 September and we need to reschedule it, we will get in touch with you directly.

We understand that the death of the Queen will have a significant impact on many people around the world, and if you need to reschedule your appointment to a future date, please contact the number on your appointment letter.

NHS 111 and local minor injuries units

If you need urgent medical help for something that is not life-threatening and can’t wait to see your GP, 111 is available 24/7 via 111.nhs.uk or by calling 111.

Minor injuries units and urgent care centres will be open but please contact 111 in the first instance to get advice or make an appointment. This will ensure you receive the best and most appropriate service.

We are very saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. She has seen so much change in her long reign and her devoted service to our nation has been a cornerstone of life in the UK and beyond. Our deepest sympathies go to her family at this difficult time.

Official books of condolence are available to sign at all libraries across Dorset, including in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, as well as at County Hall in Dorchester and Poole Museum.
