Our vision is to become ‘Better Every Day’ through excellence, compassion and expertise in all we do. This guides us in our purpose to provide integrated healthcare services that empower people to make the most of their lives.
An integral part of this vision is helping us to deliver the most up to date evidence based care and develop expertise through research into practice. The aim is to make research everyone's business through research opportunities for all patients and staff in our Trust.
Since 2010, more than 6,000 people have participated in research with Dorset HealthCare. More recently, in 2020-21, 1,635 people took part in research across 11 studies. Our aim is to make sure as many people as possible who use Dorset HealthCare’s services have the opportunity to participate if they wish.
