St Leonards is a community hospital serving the towns of Ferndown, West Moors, Verwood and the surrounding areas. The hospital offers a range of services including in-patient beds for older people’s rehabilitation, an out-patient department with a variety of clinics. At weekends and bank holidays (9-5) we provide an urgent appointment system alongside the 111 service.
The in-patient ward has achieved part 1 of the Quality Mark for Elder Friendly Wards. The ward has signed up to John’s Campaign, which promotes the rights of carers to stay with people with dementia in hospital. The ward is also working towards the End of Life – Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Accreditation.
The hospital has a very active League of Friends who have provided many items of equipment to ensure our patients have a positive experience whilst visiting the hospital.
