Cleaning your hearing aid

Try to keep your earmould clean by wiping it daily with a baby wipe.

If the tubing is blocked or the earmould gets very dirty, here’s how to clean them.

Cleaning ear mould hearing aids

Step 1

Detach the ear mould from the hearing aid.

Step 2

Wash the earmould (with the tubing still in its place) in lukewarm, soapy water. Rinse it well, shake the tubing to ensure no water is present or leave it to dry overnight. Then push the tubing back onto the hearing aid.

Clean the hearing aid by wiping it carefully with a soft, dry cloth or tissue. Take care not to get it wet.

Step 4

To clean the dome, wipe it gently with a wet-wipe or damp cloth to remove any excess wax.

Always clean the dome from tip to base.

#

Step 5

Re-attach the thin tube by pushing it back on to the hearing instrument with a simple click fit action.

Please note: If the dome is removed, always replace with a new dome. Never reattach a used dome back onto the tube.
