Ensure you have read and understood your user instruction manual for both the portable oxygen cylinder and the wheelchair before carrying the cylinder on your wheelchair.

Always ensure you have enough oxygen in your cylinder before venturing outdoors in your wheelchair.

When getting into your wheelchair attach the oxygen cylinder after you are in the wheelchair to avoid tipping the empty wheelchair.

When leaving the wheelchair always remove the oxygen cylinder before getting out to avoid tipping the empty wheelchair.

Ensure the oxygen cylinder is secure in its carrier and the carrier is secure on the wheelchair before setting off. It is best to hang the cylinder on the back of the wheelchair.

Do not hang any other equipment off the back of the wheelchair.

Test the stability of the wheelchair once you have attached the oxygen cylinder and are in the wheelchair to ensure it will not tip over easily.

Only use a portable oxygen cylinder on a wheelchair.

Always remove the oxygen cylinder and store it safely when travelling in the wheelchair in a vehicle to stop it moving around in transport and causing harm.

Never carry the oxygen cylinder in your lap.

Do not cover the oxygen cylinder; allow the air to flow around the cylinder to prevent oxygen build up with the exception of the supplied oxygen carrying case.

Be extra careful on slopes with the stability of your wheelchair.

Ensure that the oxygen tubing is kept safe from moving parts of the wheelchair.

Always remove the oxygen cylinder from the wheelchair and move it well away when the wheelchair is being cleaned, repaired or maintained. Do not use oils or grease with your oxygen cylinder.
