Glaucoma Review - Swanage

What does it do?

The Glaucoma Nurse Clinic takes place monthly and is carried out by an ophthalmic nurse who visits from the Royal Bournemouth Hospital Eye Unit.  She works with Mr Etchells the ophthalmic consultant.

What functions/treatment and therapies are offered?

The service provides regular monitoring of patients with glaucoma whose symptoms are deemed to be stable.  This is achieved by vision testing, recording of the field of vision and by an eye examination.
