What are the service opening times?

Physiotherapy services are open between 0830 and 1700, Monday to Friday.

How can I refer?

GP or Consultant referral to Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.

What functions/treatment and therapies are offered?

Manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, acupuncture and ergonomic advice are available to help restore a person's range of movement/function after injury or illness.  A Women's Health service is also available.

Which types of illness/medical condition does the service treat?

Physiotherapists frequently treat problems that affect muscles, joints or general mobility.

Physiotherapists also help people with mental health conditions, neurological conditions (those affecting the brain and nervous system) and chronic (long-term) health conditions.

A physiotherapist.

Your GP, hospital or healthcare professional will refer you to the physiotherapy service.

Leaflets and exercise sheets are provided by the physiotherapist as part of the treatment process.

Where, when and how often are the clinics?

Clinics are held at both Swanage and Wareham Hospitals.
