Join your local NHS hospital and make a difference

30th August 2022

An open day at Westhaven Community Hospital in Weymouth next month will showcase the many job roles available there which make such a difference to the local community.

Taking place on Wednesday, 21 September from 10am-2pm, the day will provide information about vacancies on offer within the site’s nursing, healthcare and facilities teams.

Visitors will also be able to have a tour of the Dorset HealthCare-run hospital, as well talk to staff and discover what it is like to work for the NHS Trust.

There will be the chance to apply for roles on the day and talk to the relevant team about your career development.

Helen de Jonge, Matron at Westhaven Hospital, said:

“We are a friendly, flexible and hard-working team who put patient care at the heart of all we do, and we have lots of exciting opportunities available in roles where no two days are ever the same.

“If you are looking for a new challenge, where you are encouraged to develop your skills to support a long-term career, it’s the perfect place to start or continue your NHS journey – and make a difference to your community. The opportunities are endless.

“The team and I are looking forward to meeting anyone who might be interested in working with us.”

It’s completely free to pop into the hospital, on Radipole Lane (DT4 0QE), on the day and there is no need to book.
