Local outbreak control plans

3rd July 2020

This week’s rise in COVID-19 cases in Leicester shows the need to be vigilant, and to be able to respond to a localised surge.

To ensure we are prepared for this, we have developed two local outbreak management plans in partnership with Public Health Dorset, local councils and other public sector partners.

One plan covers the Dorset Council area and the other the Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council area. They each set out what we will do to identify and control any potential outbreaks across our county, and protect local communities.

You can also watch the latest video from Sam Crowe, Director of Public Health Dorset, talking about current very low number of coronavirus cases here in Dorset.
