Annual celebration event

After an extended break due to the pandemic, our Better Every Day Awards returned in November – spotlighting some of the fantastic work which has gone on around the Trust over the previous 18 months.

We had an incredible 173 nominations and, as Trust Chair Andy Willis said, it gets harder to pick the winner each year. And while the judging panel did eventually decide on a winner for each category, plus the Chair’s Better Every Day Award choices, Chief Executive Eugine Yafele said the awards were a celebration of the excellence, compassion and expertise we see across the Trust every single day.

The ceremony took place online, hosted by Medical Director Faisil Sethi and Sally Northeast, Deputy Director for OD, Participation and Communications. And the winners were as follows…

Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual staff celebration event for 2020 was cancelled.

In July 2019 we held our annual celebration event for staff at AFC Bournemouth Vitality Stadium, it was a fantastic day attended by around 200 members of staff. The event began with the Dragons' Den final which showcased some of the exciting innovation projects that are happening around the Trust. After a delicious buffet we heard from the Retreat team who highlighted the amazing work of this service and the impact it has had for patients in the area. The final event of the day was the Better Every Day staff awards and all of the finalists demonstrated a true reflection of the commitment and passion of our staff.
