Why do you want to be a governor?

As a governor I hope to help improve the NHS activities also reduce the costs incurred. Take on complaints or improvements from my Constituency and ways to resolve their requests. As a Town Councillor and past Purbeck County Councillor also Dorset County Councillor all for about 18 years. I received many requests from the public ,with the help of Council Officers and the public were resolved. I was elected as a governor of Lytchett Minster School ,while in Dorset County Council I obtained the money and an extra 1m pounds to rebuild part of the school destroyed by fire.

What skills do you feel you could bring to the role?

My experience is vast in dealing with people and getting things done. As a Engineering Manager Manufacturing I was asked to take on departments needing to improve output and reduce costs. As a Town Councillor ,Purbeck District Councillor also Dorset County Council Councillor ,this presented me with different tasks to my past experience. I needed to get on board Council Officers, who had the authority to make changes which could be costly ,I had to prove they came with time and cost savings. Good relationship with the Council Staff was very important. Qualifications . Institute of Supervisory Management. Institute Works Management/Associate Member of British Institute of Management.
