Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family Test (FFT) gives patients the opportunity to provide feedback on the care and treatment they have received. It asks people to answer the simple question:

Overall, how was your experience of our service?

As part of a wider patient experience survey, patients are also asked follow-up questions to find out the reason for their answers, and to get more in-depth feedback on the quality of their care. The survey can be completed online, on paper and via text messages.

At Dorset HealthCare, we will routinely offer you the chance of completing a Friends and Family Test survey either on discharge or during your treatment. You can also complete feedback at any time by asking for a paper survey from your health professional.

The feedback given in the test provides us with valuable insight into the quality of our services, letting us know when we get things right and where we need to improve.
