Home enteral nutrition (HEN)

The East Dorset Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) team supports adults and children in the community who have a feeding tube in place. The tube may be used for supplementary nutrition, hydration and medications while the patient continues to eat and drink orally. Or the tube can be used to meet all nutrition, hydration and medication requirements.

If you have an enteral feeding tube, and are supported by the HEN team, you can call for advice on 01202 711531. You can also email dhc.hen.east@nhs.net.

Some patients may be supported by Dorset County Hospital depending on your GP location.
