Generous holiday entitlement

We offer all new starters 27 days of annual leave. This rises to 33 days over time, plus an extra eight days of paid leave for bank holidays. 

NHS pension scheme

You will receive automatic access to the excellent NHS Pension Scheme. It will give you an annual pension and a tax-free lump sum when you retire, plus life assurance, voluntary early retirement, ill health, and other benefits.

Relocation expenses

Up to £10,000 is available to new staff who are appointed to posts that have been designated as 'hard to recruit to' where they meet the eligibility criteria.

Cycle scheme

The Trust offers you a convenient, environmentally friendly, and tax-effective way to obtain the use of a bicycle for your commute to work and for your leisure time. You can lease a bicycle and cycling equipment worth up to £1000.

Discounted car scheme     

Drive away in a brand-new car with our salary sacrifice scheme. You will receive a fully inclusive motoring package for a fixed monthly amount.

Refer a friend

Refer a friend for a vacancy and earn some extra money. If the referee is successfully employed by the Trust and completes their probationary period, you can claim a £500 reward payment for the introduction. 

To refer a friend for a vacancy, you would need to complete a form after they have applied for a vacancy, and before the advert for the vacancy closes. If they are successful, we will be in touch about your payment.

Charitable giving

Opt into our Pennies From Heaven scheme and give as you earn through the Charities Aid Foundation. The scheme rounds down people’s take-home pay to the nearest pound each month, diverting any surplus pennies to a good cause. Staff can pick three charities each year to support.

In total Dorset HealthCare has raised more than £49,000 for various charities through the scheme. This achievement has earned the Trust a gold award quality mark from Pennies from Heaven, which demonstrates dedication and support to society.
