The Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy service is one of Dorset Healthcare’s specialist services for adults aged over 18 years with a range of acquired neurological conditions.

Our team of qualified speech and language therapists and assistants provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention for a range of speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties. We work in close partnership with other healthcare professionals to support our patients, carers, relatives and families to reduce the impact of these problems on the person’s wellbeing and enable them to live as independently as possible and achieve their full potential.

The Children and Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy service is one of Dorset Healthcare’s specialist services for children and young people aged 0-19 years. Our team of qualified speech and language therapists provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a range of speech, language, communication and feeding difficulties. We work in close partnership with education and healthcare professionals to support children and their families to reduce the impact of these problems on the child’s wellbeing and their ability to achieve their full potential.
