Foundation workshops

A block of five sessions, each typically lasting four hours. This workshop covers communication, sensory and behavioural difficulties in children and young people with an intellectual disability, including why and how these may present, as well as strategies to support you and them. Parent/carer wellbeing is also discussed. The workshops are typically held at Marvin House in Dorchester.

The next weekly workshop takes place from 19 September

If you would like to attend an upcoming workshop or know more about these sessions, please contact us at dhc.swiftsworkshop@nhs.net

Please note the workshops are only open to those supporting a child who is currently open to ID CAMHS.

We may also be able to provide bespoke training for professionals working with children on our caseload. Please discuss this with the child’s care co-ordinator.
