Interview Skills

It’s all about the preparation!

Research the company well – think about why you want to work for them.

Be careful your answers are not too rehearsed as this can sound staged.

At the end of your interview don’t run out the door. Its time to interview them! Ask questions that will give you an idea of what it is like to work for them, what your prospects are and to show that you have done your research, leaving them with a good impression that you were prepared.

It is difficult to pose and think of the right questions to ask but planning ahead makes this easier – you can also write them down. Don’t fall into the trap of asking how much and what hours this may have already been stated or can be asked when the job is offered to you.

Consider questions that look to the future of your role or the company moving forward.
