A multidisciplinary skilled team of nurses, managers, support staff and volunteers, our vaccination service supports everyone in the community to receive their vaccinations while experiencing the best care. From some of our larger vaccination sites in Bournemouth and Weymouth, to our inreach teams that work to engaging specific groups and communities, our diverse and high-performing team works together as a network with other NHS services to ensure our communities receive their vaccinations.
Our service is growing as we look to integrate vaccination services across Dorset. With a key part to play in delivering life-saving vaccines against winter viruses, such as COVID and flu, as well as immunisations, this is a very exciting time to join us.

Hear from some of the team

Helen Brown

Throughout my time vaccinating, I have met the most amazing people - both staff, volunteers, and patients. The stories you hear daily make you realise what an impact you are having on those patients lives and makes me proud to be a nurse. Many of them would queue for hours to get their vaccination - in fact, I remember one poignant day during the height of the pandemic, when people did just that and not once did anyone complain.

If you are joining DHC as a vaccinator you will not regret it. I have honestly loved every moment of it and am proud to have made a difference".

Being a bank worker gives me the freedom to choose when I work, which is perfect for me. I have done admin and reception work before and for me it’s such a good place to work in the vaccination service - it’s the gratitude you feel from people, it grips you and I really enjoy my work.

I feel like part of a team. It’s nice and social, we are a family. People come from all walks of life.
